Failed Hunting Trip Rp

Trainheart paced outside camp waiting for her Father and Speedfoot.Speedfoot came rushing over to her. She sighed. Why did have to scare her like that?

Goldsky smiled as he padded up to his kits Trainheart and Speedfoot. "Ready to go hunting?" He asks them.

Trainheart smiled as her father padded up to them."Ready to go hunting?" he asks."Of course!" Speedfoot exclaimed."Can we look out for Gleamfire while were out?" Trainheart worried about her former mentor. What if he died?

Goldsky nodded. "We'll look for Gleamfire as well and report back to the clan if we find any clues to his whereabouts." He agreed knowing not only his kits were worried about Gleamfire but many of the other Cloudclan cats as well.


"Shhh! I smell a mouse!" Speedfoot crawled forward and spotted it. He pounced and killed the mouse."Nice catch."Trainheart commented.

Goldsky purred his eyes shining with pride. "Well done." He commented to Speedfoot.

"Thanks." he meowed scratching dirt over his mouse.They walked deeper into the forest.

Goldsky nodded. Opening his mouth slightly to draw the scent of prey to him catching the scent of a vole and immediately got down into a hunter's crouch stalking stealithly and silently towards the unsuspecting vole before pouncing and killing it with a swift clean bite to the neck.

Trainheart spotted a magpie up in a tree.She jumped onto the tree bark and started climbing.She got to a branch right behind the bird.She jumped and the bird fluttered away.She grabbed the branch with her front paws"Help!"she yowled.Cloudstripe came running when she heard the yowl."Whats wrong?"seeing Trainheart dangling from the branch she thought of Yellowpaw,she didnt want to lose another child.


"Hang on Trainheart!" Goldsky yowled his back fur spiking with fear for his daughter. He fought away the fear knowing he must act quickly as he climbed up the tree as fast as his limbs and claws would allow. Quickly and carefully he moved to where Trainheart dangled from the branch grabbing her firmly by her scruff to pull her up safely back onto the branch.

"Thanks "she said when she was on the ground.Cloudstripe came over and started licking the top of Trainhearts head.

"Let's take our fresh kill back to camp." Goldsky spoke deciding that would be the best thing to do at the moment since they had all just gone through quite a scare moments ago.

Trainheart stood up.Speedfoot jumped to her side."Are you okay?'he asked."Fine..."she said quietly.

Deciding to change the subject as they padded back to camp Goldsky said "So Trainheart are you looking forward to being training Emberpaw later today?" He knew Emberpaw was his daughter's very first apprentice and he couldn't be more proud of her.

"Yes, Emberpaw will do excellent in training."she meowed.

"I'm glad to hear it." Goldsky replied before asking Speedfoot. "What about you? Are you excited to begin your training with Streampaw?" He meowed.

Speedfoot nodded.

"Good. I'm sure you two will be great mentors and that Emberpaw and Streampaw will do great with their training." Goldsky said.

"Do I have to go to Echolight's den?"trainheart mewed quietly.

"I think you should just in case. If anything she can give you a couple herbs to help treat your anxiety." Goldsky replied nodding.

They walked into camp and padded toward the Echolight's den.Cloudstripe raced ahead and peered into her den."Echolight?"

"Come on in." Echolight called from inside her den as she finished putting some fresh herbs away into the stock at the back of her den.

"Trainheart hit her head!" he mewed running into the clearing."No,she fell" Cloudstripe corrected.

"Fell? You mean from a tree?" Echolight asked. "Yes but not all the way to the ground. Just a couple branches. I caught her so she didn't hit the ground." Goldsky told her.

Trainheart nodded."Is there anything you can do?"Cloudstripe asked.

Echolight nodded going back to her herb storage and comes back carrying a couple herbs on a leaf placing them gently down in front of Trainheart. "Here are some thyme leaves. They will help calm and destress you and help your joints that would be stiff from the fall." Echolight told her.

"thank you"trainheart said.She ate the leaves slowly because of the bitterness.

"Don't worry Trainheart the bitter taste just means it works." Echolight told her as her whiskers twitched with amusement watching Trainheart make a face while eating the herbs.

After eating the herbs,she asked,"What do yuo want me to do?Sleep?"

"You should just try and take it easy for the rest of the day just to make sure you don't injure your paws further but other than that you should be just fine." Echolight tells her.

Trainheart nods.

"Speedfoot, why don't you help Trainheart walk back to the Warriors den to get some rest?" Echolight suggests.

"Of course! Thanks Echolight!" They padded out of the Medicine den and headed back to the warriors den was.


"And if you start to feel anymore pain later on don't hesitate to tell me." Echolight called after them.

"We will!"Speedfoot called back.

Later on that day Goldsky padded into the warriors den to check on Trainheart. "Hey, I thought you might be hungry so I brought you vole." He says placing it down in front of his daughter's paws.

"Thanks,dad" she mewed and bit hungrily into the vole.

"No problem." Goldsky replied sitting down next to her. "How are you feeling?' He asks.

"Okay....Im just sad that the magpie got away."she sighs and takes another bite of the vole.

"Don't worry. Every cat misses sometimes. I'm sure you'll catch another real soon." Goldsky told her.

The sun was setting in th sky."Can we try tomorrow?"She says noticing how late its getting.

"Sure. Right after your training session with Emberpaw." Goldsky promised her licking her on the ear before settling down into his own nest in the Warriors den.
